# Redirect loop

 * Hello! I’m new to WordPress and have run into a bit of a problem. The install
   and importing seemed to go quite smoothly, however now if I hit virtually any
   link (including any in the admin section, try to login, etc) there seems to be
   a redirect loop that goes from:
    wp-admin/ —-> wp-admin/post.php —–> wp-login.
   php?redirect_to=%2Fwp-admin%2Fpost.php ——> wp-admin/ and so forth. Eventually
   my browser (Safari) brings up an error message (rightly so). What’s quite weird
   is that this seems to be a ‘rambling’ problem – namely, if I hit the link enough
   times, it will eventually take me to the page, it might loop with one link but
   not another (but then if I hit the first link, it too will loop), and if I type
   in the link address manually, it may (but not always) actually bring me to the
   proper page. I have no idea what I’ve done wrong. Is this a common problem? Does
   anyone have any idea about what I might do to stop this? Thanks! :o) Michelle

 * i believe it happens when the base url to the blog is wrong in the settings.
   
   i had once fix it in phpMyAdmin to get it working… wait for the experts to answer…

    I got the same problem too but only on Safari browser not 
   on IE mac. So how did you fixed it ?. Thanks
