I’m using a plugin called Broken Link Checker and it seems that when it tries to access a page or post that is protected by Groups it leads to a 404. Is there a way to have it lead to a set default page or show a message instead of the content, that way it won’t seem like the link is broken?

same is the case with google boot protected pages will not appear in google search engine

Hi Schulz,

You can redirect protected posts and pages using the addon Groups 404 redirect which is available in WP repository
– https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/groups-404-redirect/

and allows you to set a specific post or page to redirect to.
