    Apologies for the post replication- it’s a rehash of the comments 
   at [this post](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/multisite-sub-directories-installation/)
   in Installation, and [this one](https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/411750/multisite-sub-directories-installation)
   at StackExchange. If this is turning out to be non-trivial problem, perhaps a
   feature request, or a suggestion of where else to go for help? Thanks.
