# Redirection Plugin Problem With Latest WP Version!

 * Hello,
 * I am one of the users of the redirection plugin.
 * The problem is that I found out it conflicts with the new upgrade of wordpress.
 * Thing is, once you upgrade, you need to rename the plugin folder from “redirection”
   to anything like maybe “redirection2” to be able to view your website normally
   without any error showing up like:
 * “Call to undefined method Redirection::_weak_escape() in /home/username/wp-includes/
   wp-db.php on line 487”
 * I’ve been holding back on upgrading my wp version because of that.. so I got 
   stuck with my old version for a long time.
 * However, recently and due to the huge amount of link spam and exploits to the
   old version, I had to upgrade my wp.
 * Now I can’t use the redirection plugin and all of my links are not working.
 * I tried editing the redirection.php file to change the “redirection/redirection.
   php” folder path name to “redirection2/redirection.php” but no use… still error
   persists.
 * I would really appreciate any help you can provide me at this moment…
 * I’m losing a lot because of that… and just thinking about the number of links
   I need to re-edit should I not be using the redirection plugin, gives me a headache!

 * Is there any way to make the redirection plugin work with the latest version 
   of WP 2.8.1?

 * Redirection already works with the latest version of 2.8 – you are using a very
   old version of the plugin.
