On my site, I have used the Site kit plugin and the same file backup we have used on the staging site. When I click on “redo the plugin setup” it’s redirecting to the staging site. I tried disconnecting the account and re-configured it on the live site but till redirecting to the staging site.

Thanks for opening a support topic, hopefully we can assist and ensure you get connected. Please follow the steps below and inform me if you’re able to proceed:

    1. Deactivate the Site Kit Helper plugin if active from your staging site
    2. Temporarily switch both your “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” to http://onlinemarketingdone4you.com (http only) from your WordPress general settings screen (Settings > General)
    3. Log back into your site and undo the changes you made (reverting back to the full address with https
    4. Attempt setup once more

The change to your Site URL should be reflected on the Site Kit service. Let me know if you have any questions on the above, and whether it allows you to proceed with setup.

Thanks for the update. Please allow me some time to escalate this with the team before providing an update, we’ve been investigating similar issues with site migrations in certain circumstances.

In the meantime it might be useful to know the following:

    1. Your site Health information. You can share privately via this form.
    2. What was your staging site URL?
    3. Did you use a backup & restore plugin to migrate your site?
    4. Is there an option to “Reset Site Kit” just before you sign in and try to connect Site Kit?

    1. I have shared the site health info
    2. staging site URL, https://stagingd4u.onlinemarketingdone4you.com/
    3. I have using the All-in-One WP Migration plugin
    4. Before it shows the “Redo option” on the live and staging site, I have tried on redo option its redirected live to the staging site dashboard. Analities result displaying on staging site but live site not working.

    On staging site

    1. Search console, not working: <p class=”googlesitekit-cta__description”>Search Console data is not yet available, please check back later.</p>
    2.Analytics working

    On live Site
Connect your Google account to Site Kit
Site Kit has already been configured by another admin of this site. To use Site Kit as well, sign in with your Google account which has access to Google services for this site (e.g. Google Analytics). Once you complete the 3 setup steps, you’ll see stats from all activated Google products.

On the staging site are you looking to display data from your live site? If so can you inform me whether you’re using the Helper plugin as per this guide?

Alternatively if you’re looking to view data and reports from your staging site individually let me know and I’ll check this with the team.

I have installed the site kit helper plugin and added the developer setting information.
    it’s redirecting to the error.

    Authorization Error
    Error 400: redirect_uri_mismatch
    The redirect URI in the request, https://stagingd4u.onlinemarketingdone4you.com/wp-admin/index.php?oauth2callback=1, does not match the ones authorized for the OAuth client. To update the authorized redirect URIs, visit: https://console.developers.google.com/apis/credentials/oauthclient/${your_client_id}?project=${your_project_number}

Thanks for the update. As you had Site Kit independently setup on this staging site previously I’ll need to enquiring about the status of this on the Site Kit service. I’ll check this with the team and report back to you here as soon as I have an update, thanks for your patience on this.

Thanks for your patience on this and apologies for the delay. I’ve checked and providing your staging site is publicity accessible there should be no issues in relation to using the Helper Plugin as per this guide.

I’ll test the Help plugin shortly and report back to you here today to confirm there are no issues pulling information from a live site.

Thanks for your patience on this. I’ve been testing the Helper Plugin and unfortunately I will need to check this with the team, as the callback URL should include your admin path.

In the meantime one workaround that should allow you to proceed displaying data from your live site it to manually include your admin path as an Authorized redirect URIs. I’ve created a screenshot with steps how to do so here, you can use this as a reference after you click on the “Create your credentials” button and follow “Get OAuth Credentials” steps.

The URI you need to include is below:
    https://stagingd4u.onlinemarketingdone4you.com/wp-admin/index.php?oauth2callback=1

Let me know if this allows you to proceed, or if you need any assistance with the above. I’ll also update you as soon as I have an update from the team in relation to the staging sites Helper plugin.
