Hi! I’ve just started using your plugin and I have some questions:

    1. I used to have CloudFlare with Cache Everything, which was great speed-wise (plus I wasn’t getting ‘Reduce initial server response time’ warnings in Google PageSpeed anymore) but was creating layout shifts. So I removed the cache Everything rule and installed your plugin. The layout shifts are gone but the ‘Reduce initial server response time’ is back. However, I can’t see a speed improvement between using CloudFLare with Standard caching and using CloudFlare with WP Fastest Cache.
-Is WP Fastest Cache supposed to reduce the server’s response time?

    2. When integrating with CloudFlare, the plugin disabled Auto Minify and Rocket Loader in my CloudFlare account. The Browser Cache expiration was also changed to 6 months. I’d like to understand why these changes were made.
    – Can I overwrite them in my CludFlare account?
    – Is minifying CSS and HTML with WP Fastest Cache better than with CloudFLare?
    – Minify Js is not available for free accounts, so can I use it via CLoudFlare? Or is it not necessary?
    – What about Rocket Loader – is there something in WP Fastest Cache that replaces it?

    Thanks!

@lauratraveler WP Fastest Cache is an excellent plugin. The Premium addon makes it even better. However, a plugin cannot improve the speed of your server. For that, you might need a better hosting company.

As for your second question, WPFC only sets default values. You can change all of the, but you might want to verify those changes actually improve performance.

Besides minifying CSS, WPFC also combines files to reduce the number of HTTP requests, which is better than what Cloudflare does, at least in a free account. For JS, you can use Cloudflare if that’s your only other option. The difference isn’t big for most users, although Google PageSpeed may comment on the number of HTTP requests.

WPFC Premium enables the “Render Blocking JS” option, which essentially does what Rocket Loader does. The free version has no equivalent, but since files aren’t combined, you can try turning Rocket Loader on and check if your site still hangs together.

Thank you so much, @galbaras. This is very helpful 🙂
