 * Hello,
 * I only try to understand something- fixed the problem in a workaround- and have
   no real expertise…didn’t even really know what terms to use for the forum search:
 * Why is every informationen put into pages (except headline) in the backend, existing
   twice in the frontend-code?
 * Sorry if anyone gets toothache reading this, but I’ll go on and try to explain:
 * In pages, the html ‘section class=”content”‘ holds two divisions. “pad group”
   whith its ‘article’- also holding two div- contains the main information. The
   users gets to see everything from the “entry themeform” and I am wondering why
   that information is written in the other div “page-image”, too. To be exact,
   in its 4th child “description”. While the code there seems to have no effect.
 * Could someone break that down for me?
 * I found this, because I put a seal under the form in the attached page and that
   needed a script. So, as the script ran twice- because it was written two times
   in the html-code by the theme- it didn’t work.
 * Kind regards
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fredundant-code%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Hi there,
 * Please kindly clarify the exact issue so I can best assist, at the moment it’s
   not very clear on my end exactly what it is you’re wanting me to assist with.

 * Hi [@shouldvelearnedit](https://wordpress.org/support/users/shouldvelearnedit/),
 * I can’t reproduce the problem on my end or on your page. I would recommend trying
   the following troubleshooting steps.
    1. **Use the latest software versions** : make sure WordPress, your theme and plugins
       are all up to date.
    2. **Cache plugin** : if you use a server cache or cache plugin, please clear it’s
       cache content and disable caching via it’s settings.
    3. **Browser **:
 *  - [clear your browser’s cache / history,](https://docs.presscustomizr.com/article/309-how-to-clear-your-browsers-cache-cookies-and-history/?utm_source=wp-org&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=customizr-forum)
    - try to switch to a different browser,
    - make sure you do not use any add-ons or extensions in your browser that may
      conflict with your website.
 * - **Check for plugin conflict** : deactivate all of your plugins. If it fixes
      the issue, re-activate your plugins one by one, until you identify the plugin
      in conflict.
    - **User of a child theme** : activate the parent theme if you use a child theme
    - **Javascript :** make sure you did not insert custom javascript code ( like
      analytics, subscription popup… ), for example in a widget, that could break
      your site.

 * Thank you.
 * I checked the code of the page I mentioned above…the redundant code is gone –
   from the “page-image”-div down…and I cannot retrace why.
 * Like I wrote in my first post this was more of an understanding thing as I already
   had fixed the issue caused by the mysterious redundant code (at least I have
   that screenshot). Nonetheless, thanks again for helping.
