 * I’ve poked around and not found anything that would do this.
 * I am looking for a plugin that will track external sites linking to posts and
   dispaly them, similar to how youtube.com video pages do.
 * That way if a forum or blog links to the page, it will list them as a referer
   to the page and list how many hits are sent. I would like this to be done on
   a page per page basis if possible.
 * anyone know of such a plugin?

 * You can try the plugin listed on this page called the CG-Referrer plugin if you
   wish, it should cover what you’re looking for:

 * thanks devilmaycry,
 * i just tried setting that up and the user docs and such just are a nightmare.
   not a userfriendly setup at all. 🙁

 * The upcoming version will be a little bit easier, but if you had problems with
   the docs please let me know so I can continue to improve them! 😉
 * The ‘complexity’ of CG-Referrer stems from it actually handling multiple roles
   of checking, blocking, and recording visitors, and then administration of the
   stored data. It’s doing a lot. 🙂 But I want to make it more user-friendly, so
   any feedback as to what would make it so would be much appreciated.

 * Extract cg-referrer-plugin.php to your root wp-content/plugins/ folder.
 * Extract the cg-plugins folder as a subdirectory of your wp-content/plugins/ folder.
 * Go to your WP Admin Plugin page, enable CG-Referrer.
 * Click on the new CGRef Menu item.

 * illudium,
 * that helps. 🙂

 * … and realize that what you see there is months behind what I’m working on (unfortuantely
   haven’t reached a ‘safe’ release point as yet given my low amount of time to
   work AND maintain things…).
 * But if you like the current CG-Referrer, you’ll definitely be even happier with
   all the enhanced admin features in the next minor upgrade, hopefully in a few
   weeks.
 * The next major upgrade will likely still be months off, but will have a completely
   revamped interface, and control of options from the admin screen rather than
   setting PHP variables in wp-config or somewhere…
 * Feel free to contact me if you have any Qs! 😉
