# Refunds Errors

 * Hello there,
 * It has been a while now since we have problem with refunds, when we try to refund
   an order the page just keeps loading and doesn’t refresh and show the messages
   that the order refund has been completed, most of the time the refund goes through
   Paypal but we have to check manually.
 * Another problem is lately we see refund from order that doesn’t match the order
   page we are in, for example we are in order number 500 down the the order page
   we see that order 502 have been refunded which doesn’t make any sense.
 * Please advise.

 * From what you’ve described, it seems like there might be a few things going on.
 * First, regarding the issue where the page keeps loading and doesn’t refresh to
   show that the refund has been completed, this might be due to a conflict with
   your theme or one of your plugins.
 * To isolate the issue, I suggest deactivating all your plugins except WooCommerce
   and switching to a default theme like [Storefront](https://wordpress.org/themes/storefront/).
   If the problem disappears, you can reactivate your theme and plugins one by one
   to identify the source of the conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation
   of conducting a conflict test [here](https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/).
 * If the problem persists, it might be helpful to check the PHP version your site
   is running on, outdated PHP versions can cause such issues. Updating to the latest
   version might resolve the problem.
 * Regarding the discrepancy in order numbers, it is unusual for the order numbers
   not to match. It could be a result of a database issue or a bug in the system.
   I recommend running a database repair using a plugin like [WP-DB Manager](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-dbmanager/)
   or [WP-Optimize](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-optimize/). This should fix
   any inconsistencies in your database.
 * If possible clear the WooCommerce cache too. To do so, head over to **WooCommerce
   → Status → Tools**, and do the following:
    - WooCommerce transients – Clear
    - Expired transients – Clear
    - Clear template cache – Clear
 * If the problem persists, I recommend getting back to us with the following:
    - **System Status Report:** navigate to **WooCommerce → Status**. Select **Get
      system report** and then **Copy for support**.
    - **Fatal Error log:** Share a copy of any fatal error log found under **WooCommerce
      → Status → Logs**.
