• Hi. I have been having problems with a website I am working on like receiving error messages everytime I install or update plugins. I contacted the site’s host regarding this but still the problem persisted. I decided to reinstall WordPress because I was thinking that maybe it has been corrupted. I started deleting the WordPress files through FTP since the host does not use cPanel. However, the wp-content does not delete after several attempts. Why do this happen? How can I delete it?

  • Leave the wp-content folder alone! Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the root wp-config.php & .htaccess files and the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
