Remember Form Field

Hi I have a quote form on my site that I want people to access from any point in the site. I have added a small form in the footer that lets people put in name and email and then submit redirects them to the full form. I would like the fields entered to be remembered so the visitor doesn’t need to re-enter the details.

Is this JS? I have ensured both forms name and email fields use the same ID and class but not sure where to go from here?
