Hi, I like the way this plugin works a lot; there’s one tweak I’d like to make, though. I’m using the widget to display related posts with excerpts; and I’m using the Biographia plugin to display the author name and avatar under each title. But the excerpt output from Related Posts by Taxonomy starts with the author name and number of posts (“By Phil HillMore Posts (464)”), which is just repeating the information provided just above it. Can the excerpt be displayed without this information, i.e., just the excerpt itself with no author name/number of posts?

    Thanks!

    Hi nuketunguska

This plugin doesn’t show the author when using the excerpt format. A plugin or your theme must be adding that with the_excerpt filter.

Maybe you can remove it with a setting in the Biographia plugin?

Ah, I just realized that. If I enter an excerpt manually it doesn’t show the author. Thanks for getting back to me… great plugin!

    No problem.

Ask the Biographia plugin (if it’s that plugin) if there is a setting or if you can remove the filter.

Oh, and let me know if you can’t find a solution. There are probably more ways to solve this issue.
