# Remove “Background Image” Filter

 * Hello,
 * The way my Hestia site is setup, the background image fills the screen but it
   has a dark gray overlay on it. When I scroll down on the home page, the background
   image is stationary but the overlay scrolls with the page and looks quite goofy.
   I would also simply like to lighten up the background image as the one I like
   is somewhat dark.
 * I am looking to remove this overlay entirely, make it transparent.
