# Remove browser cache

 * Hi,
   Here is my stack :
    1. A WordPress website online (dev.mydomain.com)
    2. A static website online (mydomain.com) generated by dev.mydomain.com with Simply
       Static plugin
 * When I generate my website from WP website to static website, how can I remove
   cache on the static website ? Actually, when I generate static files, I have 
   to force cache browser to see my modifications.
   Thanks for your help !

 * thanks for reaching out.
 * That isn’t covered by Simply Static, but you could work with a timestamp for 
   your CSS/JS file to avoid that.
 * I think the main problem here is that this would avoid caching at all for these
   files (and would make the website slower).
 * You can do that with plugins like [Autooptimize](https://wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize/).
