Remove Bullet dots

Hi, I’m trying to remove the bullet dots, but all the advises out of the support forum didn’t help.

My short code includes: [catlist id=8 excerpt=yes excerpt_tag=p catlist thumbnail=yes class=lcp_catlist ]

In CSS I tried the following snippets, without success:

lcp_catlist ul{list-style-type:none;}
#content ul.lcp_catlist li {list-style-type:none;}
ul.lcp_catlist {list-style-type: none;}
