# Remove comments from which template?

 * I have comments disabled, and I would like to also remove all references to comments
   in the template. I was able to remove the comments from the template in index.
   php, but when I click on an individual post there are still sections informing
   me that comments are not allowed. Which file do I have to edit to remove these?

 * The individual posts are also index.php files with a parameter…for example [http://yourdomain.com/?p=200214](http://yourdomain.com/?p=200214)
   
   Does that help? SO if you have removed all references from the index.php page,
   then you should be done.

 * Well, my attempts to use code tags seem to have failed – you’ll just have to 
   believe me that everything else is commented out. I guess comment tags supercede
   the “code” tags…

 * OK – I figured it out. Somehow the comments tags weren’t parsing right. I deleted
   the sections instead of commenting them out and it worked fine!
    The givaway 
   was the fact that a closing comment tag “–>” appeared in the web page!
