Is it possible to remove the content from the category pages?
For example I stick a link to a category tag in the menu and when I click on this link it shows all pages in that category with their content, is it possible to only show a summary content f the first few lines or a title only link to the relevant page.

    Use the tag <!––more––>

An excerpt can be auto generated by a WordPress theme or by using the <!––more––> tag inside the post content. Another way to create excerpts for a WordPress post is by entering the summary of an article in Excerpt field on Post Edit screen.

    Hi @rjramsay,

Just like i mentioned in my previous answer:
If you use the tag <!–more–> inside a post/page it will show you a read more button from that part on, but this is not an excerpt, this is breaking a post/page in 2 parts.

So this is not the solution for you …
This can be something: Easy Custom Auto Excerpt.
This is the info about the plugin:
Auto Excerpt for your post on home, search and archive. Customize Read More button and thumbnail image. Easy to configure and have a lot of options.

I Hope this can help you.

    Regards, Danny
