# Remove – Edit Me

 * Hi there
 * Every time I use the shortcode, it shows “Edit Me” on any computer even if I’m
   not logged into my site
 * How do I prevent this?

 * Hi Gurdain,
 * Sorry you’re having trouble with your Hit Counter.
 * The plugin will continue to show the blinking “Edit Me” sign next to the Settings
   Icon (gears) until you make a change to the plugin, and save it. If you haven’t
   already, try clicking the ‘Save’ tab, then clicking the ‘Save’ button. After 
   this, the ‘Edit Me’ sign will disappear.
