Hi, I have always had “New order” and “Processing Order” emails set up to display the order only in the body of the email. Last week all “new order” and “processing order” emails have a PDF invoice attached. I do not want the PDF attached. In checking the documentation I found this: “the option to choose which email has an invoice attached has moved to WooCommerce -> Settings -> Emails. Each email now has an option to attach an invoice if an invoice is available.” But I do not see that option.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out and explaining the situation. I understand how frustrating it can be to see PDFs attached to your order emails unexpectedly.

Just to clarify, by default WooCommerce does not attach PDF invoices to emails. If PDFs are appearing, it’s usually due to a plugin that generates PDF invoices.

To assist you better, could you please let us know where you read that the option to attach an invoice has moved to WooCommerce → Settings → Emails?

Additionally, Are you using any PDF invoice or invoice generator plugin on your site? Could you please share your System Status report from WooCommerce → Status → System Status? Please use https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com/ and share a link to that paste in reply here. Once we have more information, we’ll be able to assist you further.

I have this Plugin: PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce

    Settings | Deactivate

Create, print & email PDF or Electronic Invoices & PDF Packing Slips for WooCommerce orders.

Version 5.4.0 | By WP Overnight | View details | Documentation | Support Forum

I found that info here: https://woocommerce.com/document/configuring-woocommerce-settings/emails/

    Thanks Tom

Correction, I found this info “the option to choose which email has an invoice attached has moved to WooCommerce -> Settings -> Emails. Each email now has an option to attach an invoice if an invoice is available.” here:

    https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-pdf-invoice-setup-and-customization/

But I just realized that is not the plugin I am using.

I found it!!! Plugin: PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce

    Path: woocommerce/PDF Invoices/Documents/Enable Invoice/ Attach To:

    Enable Attach to:
    []New order (Admin email)
    []Cancelled order
    []Cancelled order
    []Failed order
    []Failed order
    []Order on-hold
    []Processing order
    []Completed order
    []Refunded order
    []Order details (Manual email)
    []Customer note
    []POS completed order
    []POS refunded order
    []Acowebs deposit payment received
    []PW Gift Card Email
    []Order Ready For Pickup
    []Square Sync Completed
    []Square Access Token Problems
    []Square Gift Card Sent
    []Return Label
    []Admin Return Label Notification

Although none of the items were selected, I un-clicked enable invoice, saved that setting, then clicked enable invoice, saved that setting. Tested emails. Issue resolved. Invoice shows in body of email, with no PDF Invoice attachment. Not sure why it needed to be reset, but it worked.

Thank you for your time and effort in resolving this issue for me. Tom
