Remove First Header section (Very Top)

My site can be seen here

I want to remove the very top “Header section” which right now is seen by about a 2.5 inch black bar. This way I can add the “header” using the raindrops options.

Which I tried to figure out to no success. Right now If I add a header image using raindrops options it displays below this black bar. which makes my site require scrolling. Can anyone be more clear as to how to remove this area?
