# Remove permalink from post

 * Hey
 * I use WordPress as a general CMS and have always found it immensely versatile
   for this. Here’s a question that’s been bugging me for a while though and in 
   previous websites it wasn’t so much a problem, but for this current project it
   is.
 * I have certain posts that appear in a carousel. The problem is that I want to
   keep them as brief descriptions, but not have actual single post pages generated
   for them.
 * Now there’s not link to them, which is fine, but typing in the URL website/post-
   name will still show the post content. I need to somehow get rid of these unneeded
   post urls as I NEVER want to show them on a single page.
 * Any ideas how one can accomplish this?

 * One way of doing this, could be:
    Set the status of the posts in question to “
   draft” Add post_status “publish” to the single post loop
 * I don’t know if this would work, as I haven’t tested it myself.
