# Remove posts from WP

 * Hello. I have 12 previous posts I made to WP support forums. They include urls
   to old websites I no longer own. I don’t wish for these posts to be public any
   longer. I want to remove them or have them removed by WordPress. This is a privacy
   related concern I hope can be resolved with simple removal of the posts that 
   I no longer wish to be public. Thank you

 * I’m sorry, but that is only done in extreme cases. This is not an extreme case.

 * Search engine hits are _never_ considered extreme. The post will not be edited
   or deleted.

 * Due to the complex way that this site’s systems, many which are not WordPress,
   communicate changing a forum user name is not possible here. It breaks many things
   even trying. It’s been tried before.
 * If you like you can anonymize your account and that will zap your user name here.

 * But keep in mind the following about data erasure requests. It’s for PII only.
    1. The posts will remain and will not be edited or removed.
    2. Your username will be swapped with something like “anonymizedaccount-1234567”
       and the old username will not be usable. No, that does not mean we can change
       your username here, this is a special targeted use case for data erasure.
    3. Your username here will not be able to be reused here and neither will your 
       email address.
    4. The account activity for your old account will remain on your old account/
    5. This is not an action that can be undone.
