# Remove "Powered by WordPress" from theme

 * Can anyone be so kind and advise on how to remove the Powered by WordPress from
   the footer of my theme. I searched for the question before and implemented the
   steps given earlier but none worked. I assume my theme needs different steps.
 * Can anyone help please?

 * You could do this with a little CSS added to your theme’s `style.css` file:
 *     ```
       #site-generator {
       	display: none;
       }
       ```
