Remove shadow, frame around dropdown menu and item hover boxes

    Greetings,

    I would appreciate any working suggestion to remove a drop shadow, a frame around a dropdown menu as well as gray box that appeares while hovering a menu item (attached-please-find image).

    I am unable to find a place with the appropriate coding (CSS)controlling the item in question. I have already tried several CSS codes in a custom CSS area found on web. In vain.
