 * Hi there,
 * When I search for my site “vision tuition gold coast” on google, I sometimes
   get a link come up for the following:
    [http://visiontuitiongoldcoast.com.au/category/uncategorized/](http://visiontuitiongoldcoast.com.au/category/uncategorized/)
 * It is a 404 error and can be seen when you follow the link. How do I remove this
   page from the search results?
 * Cheers
 * Clinton

 * Use Google Webmaster Tools and ask them to remove that specific URL. This is
   a question for Google…note: Do you have posts in the uncategorized cat? (it’s
   used as the default when a cat is not added to a post)

 * Do you have any sitemap plugin installed? It could be that you had an unauthorized
   post at one time and the sitemap plugin added it to the sitemap. Then Google
   Webmaster tools will use that and list the address. Here is how to get google
   to remove a url: [http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=164734](http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=164734)

 * I have WordPress SEO and Pretty Link Lite active at the moment. I checked the
   sitemap and it’s not there either.
 * I did the remove url thing with google but it’s been about 2 weeks and I haven’t
   heard back from them.
 * I had two posts that weren’t published however I removed them now. How long would
   it take google to not show this in a search?

 * The only real answer to that is ‘time and patience’. Also, make sure you are
   not caching any search results locally. I don’t see this result and went several
   pages in…

 * Just a quick additional note – you could redirect folks who find this link to
   the home page or other page/post/cat etc.
