Removing "Leave a Reply" Section

To remove the comment section on posts in any theme (including allowed tags), uncheck the comment option below the post editor or use the bulk-edit feature to disable commenting on many posts at once.

To turn off comments on all future posts, go to Settings > Discussion, and uncheck “Allow people to post comments on new articles.”

Sorry, I missed the link in your original post! A screenshot of your WP Admin Discussion box on the post would be helpful for verification.

On this screen: http://imgur.com/nWtsIjX – you need to heck off the box next to “Discussion.” Without that box checked, it wouldn’t have been possible to deactivate comments on each post.

Checking that willgive you a new box where you can un-check the discussion options, below each post, which will look like this:

You can also optionally use the bulk-edit option to turn off comments all at once on previously published posts, so you don’t have to do them one-by-one.

Head over to the main Posts page in your admin area – the one where you see all your posts listed.

– Check the box at the top left to select all posts
– Select “do not allow” next “Comments”
– Click Update

It should look like this screenshot from earlier:

If you have more than one page of posts you’ll need to repeat the process for each batch of posts.
