# Render blocking issue

 * I have been using the plugin and it is working great except when I try to minify
   the css and js.
 * I set the js to async and enabled minifying for html,css and js
 * Instead of deferring the js and css w3 total cache puts it in a minify folder
   and renames the css and js.
    it used to work before i updated to wordpress 4.3
   is there a fix?

    JS minify settings:
   minify – async but the output still is without async=”async” additionally the
   js files are not combined, just cached 🙁

 * Although I am not 100% sure of this, I think you can do what you intend to do
   only in the manual mode of Minify.

 * You can’t solve the render blocking CSS issues entirely. Set it to manual and
   add the files by hand. Make sure to load the JS with async or defer and in the
   footer.
