 * Hi again!
    I’ve been trying to optimize sites that I work on to fit better with
   Google PageSpeed scores, and have noticed that some sites still get this error
   after I install the ‘Autoptimize’ plugin to resolve the issue for other scripts.
 * [https://gyazo.com/baf6ad17c2244097d97079824785bc90](https://gyazo.com/baf6ad17c2244097d97079824785bc90)
 * I’m wondering if there’s anyway to keep Slimstat activated, but move the render-
   blocking JS.
 * Additionally, I’m not sure why, but some sites don’t have this issue after installing
   the plugin.
 * Thanks for any help!

 * Hi,
 * does the warning disappear if you set Track Coordinates to NO under Settings
   > Tracker?
 * Thanks,

 * Sorry for the delayed response.
    That setting was already ticked to ‘No’, but
   I did discover that this issue only exists on some pages. For example, this page
   has no issue ([http://www.mikeandsonasphalt.com/contact-us/](http://www.mikeandsonasphalt.com/contact-us/)),
   where as the home page does.
 * And the home page seems to consistently have it on the sites that are effected.
 * Not sure if this will help find a solution or not.

 * It sounds like some other plugin is affecting the way the tracker attaches its
   code to all the links on the page. Do you have external links above the fold
   just on the homepage but not on other pages?

 * I don’t believe that I have any additional external links on the homepage, but
   I will go through the plugins being used and get back to you if I need any additional
   help!
    Appreciate the help!

 * Actually since you replied so fast, would you have any idea why it only is considered‘
   render-blocking’ on the mobile versions?
 * I’m using an [@media](https://wordpress.org/support/users/media/) tag for mobile
   versions under 763px in width to enable some modifying CSS to the preexisting
   stylesheet, so I’m not sure why that would have an effect on scores.

 * I would consider that a false alarm, as the Javascript is added at the very end
   of your source code, and so it should not affect any elements above the fold.
   If this is still an issue for you, though, you can always configure Slimstat
   to work in Stealth Mode. The tracker will be less accurate and it will collect
   less data about each pageview, but it will remove the js from your source code.

 * Putting it into stealth mode seemed to resolve the issue!
    Although it’s not
   ideal to compromise statistics, I’m mostly interested in Unique IPs (i.e. how
   many people actually come to the site.)
 * Do you think Stealth Mode would have a dramatic change in accuracy in that regard?

 * No, it should not.

 * Hey, a review for Slimstat would be a nice way to say thank you:

 * Sorry to bring this thread back up. I’m noticing that the site that was fixed
   seems to have considerably more unique views per day since the fix. I originally
   had the ‘Do Not Track Bots’ option on, and I’m now wondering if that was dependent
   on the JS that is not included anymore.
 * If not, it may just be a coincidence.

 * Yes, in Server Mode (which is automatically used when Stealth Mode is enabled)
   bots are not automatically ignored. Go to Settings > Filters and set Ignore Bots
   to YES to change that.

 * Okay, I already had that checked so perhaps there were just more views than normal.
   Thanks 🙂
 * Edit: Actually I just set another site to stealth mode and since then (about
   15 minutes) it has obtained 7 Unique IP’s. However during the entire month there
   has only been 22 before that..
 * Second edit: Your next post just answered my concern. I’ll take this info and
   use it to decide how I can go about this. Thanks again!
