 * Hello,
 * some time ago I downloaded my database and webspace files and transferred them
to a new hosting provider. Apparently there were problems with the transfer because
a plugin is currently no longer working and I can’t add any new users either.
 * I suspect that the database was not fully transferred. Is there a way to refresh
the WordPress database? So that all WordPress standard files are available again?

 * You are talking about different things and I hope you are aware of that. There
is the database where WordPress stores settings and content. On the other hand
there are also files that contain the functions that WordPress provides.
 * So if you want to do some kind of refresh, you have to consider both aspects.
 * If you want to make sure that you have all WordPress files stored in your hosting,
you could download the ZIP file with the WordPress package, unpack it locally
and upload the so unpacked directories wp-admin and wp-includes as well as the
files in the root directory via FTP to your webspace.
 * Refreshing the database would amount to a new installation or a repair. WordPress
offers a repair mode which is described here: [https://wordpress.org/support/article/editing-wp-config-php/#automatic-database-optimizing](https://wordpress.org/support/article/editing-wp-config-php/#automatic-database-optimizing)
 * Regardless, I don’t know if this approach would solve your actual problems. Unfortunately,
you don’t elaborate on the actual problems in your question but jump directly
to the solution you suspect. If you want assistance with the problems, please
describe in more detail what happens where when you try what. A link to your
site could also be helpful. If you continue on the other hand, I would recommend
that you always make backups of the project before you try anything.

 * Thank you for your feedback. I uploaded the directories and used the repair mode,
but it doesn’t help. Uninstalling all plugins and using a default theme doesn’t
   help either.
 * For example, one problem is that I can’t create users. When I create a user,
the user does not receive a confirmation email, the user’s name is not displayed
in the overview and it is also not possible to edit the new user.
 * I also use the plugin “WP All Import”. When I want to start a new import with
it and want to upload a file, it doesn’t work. The page will then simply reload.

 * Could you try creating users without any plugins?
 * Because of the plugin, a test with debug mode might be interesting: [https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/](https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/)–
otherwise you should contact its support.

 * Yes, I tried creating users without any plugin, but it doesn’t work. The plugin
bug was just another example of what doesn’t work.

 * Unfortunately, I can’t understand this at all in my case. If the above debugging
does not help, I would recommend you to find someone who can look at your system.
You can do that here: [https://jobs.wordpress.net/](https://jobs.wordpress.net/)–
   or ask your hosting support.
