# Request: Use post excerpt

 * I’d love it if this plugin could use my post’s excerpt field when it creates 
   a new thread for discussion upon posting. The current cut-off oneliner is usually
   a bit too sparse.

 * Hi Erlend,
 * This plugin should use a post’s excerpt for the `%excerpt` tag when available,
   only creating the one-liner when there’s no other choice. Let me take a look 
   and see whether I can reproduce this.

 * I have not been able to reproduce this. When a post has a manual excerpt, that
   is used in place of the generated snippet.
 * Can you provide any more details on your setup and the conditions under which
   this presents itself? There could always be an edge case I’m not catching!

 * Yeh it appears to be working. I probably just gone goofed.
