# Required fields

 * How can I set required fields and mark them on the front end? I’m using the Strong
   Testimonials plugin and would like the forms to match in appearance and function.

 * My plugin uses theme style for input fields and submit button. So if the Strong
   Testimonials plugin also uses theme styling, it should look similar.
 * Otherwise you should use the custom CSS feature in Customizer to add custom style.
 * The required * tag should be hardcoded in the shortcode files of my plugin. But
   I do not recommend hardcoding this, in case of plugin updates.

 * Sorry for the late reply. I get email notifications to an address I don’t look
   at often so I missed the reply. I just want to show required fields with an *
   before the form is submitted. Obviously I don’t want to make a change that might
   cause a problem with plugin updates.

 * Hi Paul,
 * Unfortunately there’s no way to add this without changing plugin files. Maybe
   another plugin such as Contact form 7 would suit you better.
