I have been the administrator, creator, and troubleshooter of WordPress for many, many years now. I manage 40+ sites right now, and I can tell you that each and every one of them has Wordfence installed on it. Why? It just works. It blocks brute-force attacks, does a scan of your system to find anything amiss, and lets you know when a plugin or theme is vulnerable to attack. The license is affordable compared to the amount of time it takes to restore a hacked site, plus Wordfence really does contribute a lot to the WordPress security community and deserves compensation for doing so (my opinion).

It’s extremely important to us to research and work towards securing the entire WordPress ecosystem as well as constantly improving/refining the plugin. It’s great to hear from long-term users with many sites running Wordfence as an essential fixture @citking.

We appreciate that you’ve taken the time to endorse Wordfence in this review, show others the features that are most important to you, and we’re glad to have you on-board as a satisfied customer.

    Peter.
