# Reset theme customizer defaults

 * If you have a set of color picker options defined in the theme customizer, it
   would be really handy to be able to reset them to the default color values (specified
   in the add_setting class method).
 * Does anyone know of a way a button could be added to reset all theme customizer
   settings, or maybe on a section by section basis?

 * I don’t think the Customizer is mature enough for this yet. At least I’ve not
   come across any such functionality. It _might_ be worth posting this as a bug/
   feature request in Trac on the grounds that the Customizer should really offer
   the same functionality that’s available in Appearance -> Header.

 * I can probably hack something together but wondered if there was a hook or something
   that I was missing that could be used to do this.

 * To be perfectly honest, I’ve been working off [Otto’s post on the Customizer](http://ottopress.com/2012/how-to-leverage-the-theme-customizer-in-your-own-themes/).
   I’ve not had the chance to look through the core scripts myself.

 * Yes me too. Otto gave a great introduction to using the theme customizer. Trouble
   is, it’s so good it makes me want to do more! 🙂

 * Damn! I guess I started too early..I am using WP Theme customizer in a theme 
   and after 2 days of customizing the WP Theme customized, now only realized that
   it does not have a reset button. Any work around for this, I cant go back now..

 * You will be pleased to know that a reset button is being added to WordPress 3.5.
   Check out the latest beta to play around with it.
