 * Hi,
 * I noticed on my test-build local site that my user-defined column widths are
   not holding true in their respective tablet/mobile breakpoints. If I set a column
   width to 10% in desktop and 20% in tablet, the values do not hold when testing
   on different devices. I did a quick inspection of the CSS in tablet view and
   see that the code is crossed out and the desktop value sticks. And when in mobile,
   I have it set to stack, so it’s not an issue.
 * I exported the page on my localhost and uploaded it to the live site and the
   issue persists. When I build from absolute scratch it appears to intend as expected.
 * I cannot for the life of me figure out what I am doing wrong. Any suggestions?
   It seems like the breakpoints are coming out differently and I can’t wrap my
   head around it at the moment.
 * Deactivating plugins and/or switching themes does not resolve the issue. I have
   also cleared cache, regenerated CSS and switched the CSS print method.
 * Here is a quick video: [https://www.loom.com/share/683d7fed0651405ebf593301ed32eae4](https://www.loom.com/share/683d7fed0651405ebf593301ed32eae4)

   I’ve recreated the issue on my site and provided a screenshot here: [https://puu.sh/DI3cG/1cdc5de5a0.png](https://puu.sh/DI3cG/1cdc5de5a0.png)
 * and here is it in comparison to my live site (the left is my live site): [https://puu.sh/DI4Cg/2a3df96abe.png](https://puu.sh/DI4Cg/2a3df96abe.png)
 * I believe my problem may be similar to [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/responsive-columns-width-not-working-in-elementor-v2-5-13/](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/responsive-columns-width-not-working-in-elementor-v2-5-13/).
   However, I saw no answer and the thread got derailed and went down a different
   direction.
 * Cheers

 * Actually that thread holds the same answer I’ll start with in this one:
 * 1. Clear all cache (server cache, cache plugins, and your browser or phone cache).

   2. Go to _Elementor > Settings_ and then under the _General Tab > Regenerate
   CSS_, click **Regenerate Files**
 * Also look at this doc: [https://docs.elementor.com/article/235-update-issues](https://docs.elementor.com/article/235-update-issues)

   Since starting from scratch makes things work expected, I’d suggest using that
   from-scratch, working version of your section, saving it as a template and replacing
   your current section with it, if the above instructions don’t help. Sometimes
   it is easier than hunting down the one setting somewhere that is messing it up.

 * Hi [@cavalierlife](https://wordpress.org/support/users/cavalierlife/)
 * Thank you for the quick response and for providing me a list of solutions. That
   being said, I have actually already tried a number of options before creating
   this thread. I’ve had no success with everything from regenerating CSS to clearing
   cache, deactivating plugins, etc, etc.
 * While I can get the intended outcome when I start from absolute zero, it doesn’t
   seem productive. Certainly, there must be a way to address this issue that doesn’t
   result in me rebuilding all of these individual pages?
 * Do you have any additional suggestions, by chance?
 * (Also, regenerate CSS is located in Dashboard > Elementor > Tools)
 * Thanks,
 * Nick
 * **Edit** When I copy the troubled section out of that page and drop it on an
   entirely fresh page, the columns & breakpoints work as intended. Have I accidentally
   tweaked a setting on the problem pages?

 * It’s pretty hard to diagnose without digging into the actual backend, so I don’t
   have any additional ideas. (Oops, yep, Elementor > Tools, not Elementor > Settings,
   sorry).
 * I didn’t realize this was on a lot of pages. I thought it was one instance. But
   it sounds like it’s a page setting which might make it easier to fix sitewide
   if you find it.
 * I wonder if the various pages with the issue have a different structure or setting
   than new pages. Same page template?

 * Hi [@cavalierlife](https://wordpress.org/support/users/cavalierlife/)
 * I think I’ve addressed the problem, however, I am not certain I understand it
   and at this point, I’m afraid to question it – haha.
 * I ended up deleting section by section to see if I could assess what was causing
   the break. I ended up deleting a hero image background for the page title area
   and rebuilding it manually from scratch, and voila!
 * Fixed. Every setting, style and section is the same, page to page, except now
   it’s seemingly fixed.
 * Weird…
