    Hi,

I want to show thumbnails with caption on hover. The preview is working fine, but the reality is looking ugly.

    My settings:
    – Gallery Template: Responsive Image Gallery
    – Lighbox: FooBox
    – Spacing: 5px
    – Alignment: Center
    – Size: 200×200
    – Link: Full Size image
    – Hover effect type: Caption
    – Caption Effect: Fade In
    – Caption Content: Title Only

In reality there is no hover effect. And after each thumbnail there is a little box without content which results in a line break. (only after the images which have a description, even if I set “title only”)
You can see it here: http://www.meinstutensee.de/footest/
Any idea what’s going wrong there?

    Thanks!

    hi

Defininetly does not look right. It seems like a theme or plugin is adding paragraph tags around every caption. Please can you test something for me:

Activate the default Twenty Fifteen theme and see if you get the same behaviour. If so, then you might need to disable all plugins except foogallery to and one-by-one activate each plugin until you determine which plugin is conflicting.

Let me know what you find

    Hi bradvin,

with Twenty Sixteen everything works fine. So it seems to be a conflict with my custom (Bootstrap based) theme. But I don’t know where the paragraphs come from.
Any idea what I can do to use this feature together with my theme?

    Thanks!
    Martin

You can try this plugin perhaps : http://urbangiraffe.com/plugins/disable-wpautop/

I found this thread which might help: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/stop-wordpress-from-adding-p-tags-and-removing-line-break?replies=23

Seeing as this is a theme conflict and not a plugin issue, I am marking this as resolved

    Thanks for your help!

I resolved this issue by unchecking the checkbox in the editor that says “Automatically add paragraphs” and saved/updated the page. I am using the Site Origin Editor…
