# Rest API disabled error msg

 * While running Perfect Images in bulk regenerate thumbnails mode, I got an error
   msg that said “The Rest API is disabled or broken” ….
    On displaying the server
   response, it was: “429 — Too Many Requests Whoa! Slow down there … You’re going
   too fast. In order to prevent performance iossues, we limit the number of requests
   y9u can make to our platform in a short time. Please try again in a bit.” Guessing
   there is nothing wrong with the Rest API but the plugin is swamping the server.

 * The only way is to contact your hosting service; normally, with modern hosting
   services, it’s not an issue anymore, but it used to be in the past.
 * As long as the request are authenticated, they shouldn’t be rejected. Performing
   many requests to a server is normal 🙂
