# REST API error

 * When testing the REST API, an unexpected result was returned:
 * REST API Endpoint: [https://valbrunpro.com/wp-json/wp/v2/types/post?context=edit](https://valbrunpro.com/wp-json/wp/v2/types/post?context=edit)
   
   REST API Response: (404) Not Found
 * Getting this error message above can’t seem to find the root of the issue. Can
   anyone help?

 * I can’t even access any endpoint at the site currently. Have you disabled public
   access? If you were not aware of this, a plugin you are using may be responsible
   for this, e.g. a security plugin. You would have to disable it to make the endpoint
   accessible.

 * I’ve tried deactivating the security plugin and I’m still getting the same error
   message

 * I disabled all of the plugins and the error was still there also, I’m not sure
   what’s causing the issue

 * I just noticed that no URLs work for you anymore. Only the start page is available.
   All other URLs return a 404. This is rather a problem of the hosting, which is
   why I would recommend you to contact the support of the hosting. Maybe there 
   is a setting missing.
