# Restore database from folder

 * Hello,
    I have the following problem. I had a wordpress site running in my personal
   computer. I un-installed wampserver without exporting my database and I only 
   kept a copy of the folders in wamp. Now I re-installed wampserver. Is there any
   way to restore my database if I don’t have the file .sql? I mean to restore it
   only from the contents in the ‘data’ folder?

 * If you don’t have your database, you can not restore your site, as all data (
   content, settings, relations between them …) are stored in database.

 * I am not familiar with local environment, so don’t know how and where it store
   database, but if your database is there, you are safe 😉
    Just find the way how
   to import it to new installation, not sure if just copy that database will fix
   it.
