 * Xcloner is not allowing me to restore from my Production server which is https:
to my development server which is http:. I think this would be a common setup
where you do not want to buy a certificate for a dev subdomain just to copy your
   wordpress setup to development.
 * What do you recommend for all of us with a https production environment and a
   http development environment?

 * Hi Dave, yes, this is because of the mixed content [https://developers.google.com/web/fundamentals/security/prevent-mixed-content/what-is-mixed-content](https://developers.google.com/web/fundamentals/security/prevent-mixed-content/what-is-mixed-content)
 * One way to overcome this is by allowing the browser to run the mixed content,
   as mentioned here [https://pearsonnacommunity.force.com/support/s/article/How-to-display-mixed-content-with-Google-Chrome-Internet-Explorer-or-Firefox-1408394589290](https://pearsonnacommunity.force.com/support/s/article/How-to-display-mixed-content-with-Google-Chrome-Internet-Explorer-or-Firefox-1408394589290)
 * Other option is to simply install a blank instance of WordPress with XCloner
on your development server, move the backup file(s) there manually in your Backup
Store Folder, and then run a local restore from XCloner, the result should be
the same, just make sure you use a different database for restore.
 * Let me know if you have further questions.
