restore old post names

Hello,
I recentrly transfered my domain to another hosting provider and so when I uploaded my backup wordpress file I saw that the post names weren’t saved and they are now in a new format (post number instead of post name). So I would like to know if there is a way to restore the original post names so that I don’t loose visitors who click on links from other web sites to my older posts.
