# Restricting Posts

 * Hi Jeff,
 * I’ve got USP set up and working now, I like it. However, the way I have it now,
   anyone can submit a post. I would prefer that only registered and logged-in users
   be able to submit posts.
 * How can I do that? Maybe I have misunderstood the settings.

 * The Pro version of USP has that all built-in, but the free version does not. 
   Good news is that it’s trivial to set up manually with a few slices of code. 
   Here are two examples I’ve posted for people:

 * Plus I’ve seen other methods using shortcodes posted here on the WP forums, so
   you could look for that as well.
