# Rewrite issue

 * I have a cpt called landingpages
    eg. `www.website.com/landingpages/abc`
 * I was trying to rewrite the url for landingpages so there was no slug but I couldn’t
   get that to work
    eg. `www.website.com/abc` I was just getting 404s maybe due
   to a conflict with a taxonomy with terms of the same name eg. there will be `
   www.website.com/landingpages/abc` and `www.website.com/category/abc`
 * Assuming I can’t have `www.website.com/abc` then I would like the url `website.
   com/landingpages/abc` to redirect to `website.com/landingpages/abc` which I can
   do per individual post with the Redirection plugin – but can I do it through 
   functions.php?

 * So, I had to re-search this because I had a similar issue like years back. A 
   friend asked me to help on her site and I made a cpt for something that I can’t
   fully remember. I found this link while searching again:

 * Thanks Jose but I don’t’ think that’s it. It want the URL rewritten to be:
    [http://www.website.com/abc](http://www.website.com/abc)
