# Rewrite Slug Doesn't work after getting code

 * When the custom post types plugin is enabled and configured I can access the 
   a custom taxonomy without a problem, as expected (ie domain.com/productcategory/
   augers ). However if I use “Get Code” and then disable the plugin it no longer
   works — I get a 404 error.

 * Hi theprawn,
 * Did you put the ‘get code’ code into your theme’s `functions.php` ? Also did 
   you refresh your permalinks by going to the Settings->Permalinks page and saving
   them without changing anything?

 * Hopefully what Octopixell suggested helped theprawn.
 * You’ll have to flush rewrite rules when moving away from the plugin and going
   to your own implementation with “Get code”.
