Robots.txt not blocking google listing

    I’m unable to block a sub-directory folder from getting indexed on Google. I use this:

    Disallow: /wp-content/sub-folder

    I have documents inside the folder I don’t want people to see. Is this the wrong format?

    It’s right. But it’s depend on google. You can test robots.txt at Google webmaster tools.
