# Root BlockAppender

 * Hi all, is there a way to change the default block appender placed in the root
   of the editor [https://tppr.me/QtNade](https://tppr.me/QtNade) ?
   I need to update
   the tooltip title and also change the behavior of the Inserter to only insert
   one specific block. I know how to do that for InnerBlocks, but can’t find a solution
   for the root one. Thanks!

 * I’m not following 100% completely. Do you mean you want to limit which blocks
   are allowed to be inserted into the post or page editor at the top level (root)?
   If so:
    - Which blocks do you want to allow?
    - Which post types (posts, pages, etc.)?
 * Basically, I’m thinking we could create a “block template” for the specific post
