# “RSS ERROR – No RSS items found”

 * Hi there,
 * I’ve been using your excellent WordPress RSS Feed Retriever for a couple of weeks
   now, and it’s been exactly what I’ve needed.
 * Just in the past day, though, I’ve started getting that pesky “RSS ERROR – No
   RSS items found” error — despite the fact that nothing has changed with my site’s
   configuration or with the feed itself (which still shows up as being fine and
   perfectly validated in all tests and views).
 * I’ve read over a bunch of other similar threads on this subject from the past
   here, but nothing seems to apply to my situation.
 * Any ideas or pointers as to how I could get this back up and running, as it was
   just a short time ago?

 * Are you fetching the RSS feed from the website where the plugin is installed,
   or from an external website? And can you share the actual **RSS feed** in question?

 * Thanks for the reply, George.
 * It’s from an external website, and the feed involves an API key (as it’s related
   to a private forum), so I’d need to send it privately as opposed to posting it
   here.
 * It’s been suggested to me that this change could potentially be related: [https://letsencrypt.org/docs/dst-root-ca-x3-expiration-september-2021/](https://letsencrypt.org/docs/dst-root-ca-x3-expiration-september-2021/)
 * And upon further investigation, I suspect that’s correct.
 * As a test, I tried taking the feed and putting it through Feedburner to eliminate
   the API variable. After that, it worked fine.
 * And this all started on the same exact morning as that change went through.
 * Probably not something that affects a ton of people, but it does seem like there’s
   a decent chance it’s related (and might require a plugin update to be corrected?).
