RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: name lookup timed out

    Hi, one of my WP installations suffered from this issue a while back and I installed the Core Control plugin and tested the cURL transport. It failed/timed-out and I disabled it as sugguested. That worked for a long while, but since updating the 3.5, I am getting the errors again and having cURL disabled no longer works.

    Any suggestions?

    After deactivating, removing and reinstalling core control and then disabling the malfunctioning cURL transport, the RSS errors went away.
