rss feed invalid

    I get this java script added to my feed. I used an ad script in my wp-blog-header.php file. Now, this entire feed is screwed because of this.

    Other than take out the code – which I have already tried – what can I do?
    When I took out the code, it did not disappear from the feed.

    This makes me think 1) it’s not the wp-blog-header.php that is the problem, or 2) one of the core files is jacked.

    What do I do? I’m losing valuable traffic.

    Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Default theme (WordPress 1.5 – 2.9.2) or the Twenty Ten theme (WordPress 3.0 and higher) to rule-out a theme-specific issue (themes can affect the feeds).

    OK, well it’s not a plugin issue. The theme issue didn’t work either.

    what kind of ad code would you be adding to wp-blog-header? Nothing should be added to core files, the only place you should need to insert add code is to your theme, or a plugin.

    You could go to the upgrade section of WP, it allows you to reinstall WP, which will get all the core files nice and new. Or manually replace the core files (everything except the wp-config.php file, and the entire wp-content folder) using ftp or a file manager if your host has one.
