 * Hello,
 * I saw in google search console that one URL was giving a server 5xx error. It
   is not a URL in our sitemap but still google seems to have found a link to it:
   [https://www.mysite.com/search/](https://www.mysite.com/search/){search_term_string}/
   feed/rss2/
 * Is there anything I can do via your plugin to stop this URL being produced or
   followed, or do I just ignore this?
 * Many thanks

 * Hi again!
 * Sorry for my belated reply.
 * TSF didn’t create those URLs, WordPress did, but Google shouldn’t have found
   those in the first place.
 * Occasionally, Google grabs whatever it deems a URL and follows that. In this
   case, they grabbed a search-templating URL from TSF’s Schema.org output. Google
   follows it, and then the theme asks WordPress to erroneously create and output
   non-existing feed URLs on the search page, which Google again follows.
 * Google’s behavior is what instigated my implementation of the Advanced Query
   Protection (AQP) feature, where Google followed plaintext example URIs from [TSF’s shortlink service](https://tsf.fyi/links.php),
   such as `https://theseoframework.com/?p=$`. I recommend enabling the AQP feature
   if you haven’t already, although it doesn’t protect your site against 5xx error
   pages.
 * In any case, you can safely dismiss the notification, so I’m marking this topic
   as resolved.
 * Perhaps you can configure your webserver not to serve a 5xx error but let WordPress
   handle it graciously (it will send a 404 response). This will prevent Google
   from dispatching unwarranted emails about their crawler failing to understand
   [their very own recommendations](https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/structured-data/sitelinks-searchbox#structured-data-type-definitions).

 * Many thanks for the reply and explanation [@cybr](https://wordpress.org/support/users/cybr/).

   Yes I already have the Advanced Query Protection (AQP) feature enabled.
 * Cheers!
