1. It’s so you can, using a news aggregator (such as the RSS Reader Panel for Firefox, or Feeddemon – there are many) watch the development of several threads so that you do not have to come back to this site.
2. As said, you can watch lots of threads without having to try and remember them or bookmark them. And it saves bandwidth for the site too.

So, what I want to know is this… I have WordPress up and running, and want to have an area on my blog where I can read RSS feeds from other blogs. Is this do-able? If so, how much am I going to have to learn about a program (WordPress) that I only installed a week ago?

and search for “RSS”, it comes up a few times (yes, including my CG-FeedRead solution!).
